My Favorite Place to Be: Right Here

Now that I'm retired, I bought myself a nice place to live. As you can see I live right near a bay that's connected to the Pacific Ocean.

I know I that being by the bay might not be an exciting place to some, but it's actually very relaxing watching the ships go by.

I honestly like the peaceful life, compare to adventure that once was. Don't get me wrong I love sharing stories.

Katy

If there's on person who make it all worth while it's my wife Katy. She herself has seen rough times in her life, but luckily we both found each other. Now everything calmed down, and we have a happy marriage.

Most Painful Experience: Landing in the Indian Ocean

One time I survive being hit with an AA missile from Lunetta, with my comrades Bill Anderson and John Wiegand. This was back was the enemy was still able to design and manufacture there own surface to air missiles. When we were first hit it was a sudden scare, however we were able to still functions. With the craft still intact, we were able to maneuver it, into a crash landing into the Indian Ocean, away from the enemy's land force. It is true that a healthy landing capsule, is meant to land on the ocean. Ours' had a hole punctured through the one of the tanks, causing it to eventually sink. With the time allotted to us, where were able to manufacture a make shift life raft, which ultimately kept us afloat, until help arrived.

The reason this is the most painful experience, is due to the fact that were starving, and exposed to the elements. The ocean, might not be as exotic as space, but it still can be a terrifying place.

Scariest Moment: Nearly dyeing on the Moon.

On one of the later missions on the moon, things did not go as smoothly. We had a navigation problem which forced us to make a bad landing, with our spaceship falling to side. We had to syphon oxygen off the rocket tanks in order to survive. However, to do this safely we could only get a small amount, to barley keep us alive. One day our system failed which meant one of us had to "go low" on oxygen while the other went and repaired the craft. I volunteered to risk death, in order for my technician to repair the craft. It pushed me to my physical limits and nearly killed me.

Luckily the Space Force was able to scramble another lander, in an effort to rescue for certain doom on the Moon.

Pictures of Mars

As interesting as it might seem, the main reason Spencer invited me down here is to look at pictures of Mars, with him. Apparently he has ...
