Through the Gates

I finally made it through the gates, after some time. I'm limited as to what I can share here, but the architecture at this place never seems to surprise me. I can't show off many buildings, but I can show you this. It's an old watch tower from the war, to make sure enemy submarines and planes weren't going to attack us from the west.

While I'm down here I'll see what I can find and blog about to you guys.

Change of Mind

I had change of mind and I headed down to see Spencer at United Rocket. Maybe I'll get some interesting stuff to blog about.

But for what it worth, this guy is seems desperate for me to come and visit. Literally promising me a free vacation. I like driving so I figured I'd make a road trip out of it.

Annoying Phone Calls

So apparently, even though I'm retired I'm still being called by United Spacecraft. For security reasons they couldn't talk about it, so they want me to travel down there and meet with them.

I know how to use called ID, but Katy on the other hand answers.

She was quick to hand the phone off to me. On the other end of the line was Spencer. Spencer was an old time friend and seem unusually excited to talk to me. I mean we drink together at the VFW.

The thing is I'm retired, I have my own life now. I don't need this.

Just Because I'm Retire: It doesn't mean I'm Out of Shape

Let's just say for an old man, I try to stay active, both in my community and building my body. Let's be honest, no one looking at the picture above, care about the Salvation Army, but some things draw more attention that ringing a bell. Anyway if you want to know how to do, and stay in shape, make sure that you are eating healthy. Protein is important. Also make sure that you are doing something to keep you active, either lifting weights or some other type of physical activity. Most people go to the gym, I have nature as my gym.

Nothing but runs on the beach, along with oceans swims, a couple times a week, and a good diet, get's you a chance at getting the most Salvation Army Red Bucket donations.

Also getting used to the cold keeps you healthy as well.

Love for Rocketry

Don't get me wrong. Even though I'm out of the service, I still love rocketry, and the friends I've made over the years. I spend a lot of trading old stories with and learning about new stories in the media, about the field. The future generation has a great future ahead of themselves, in the field of space travel.

Greatest Adventure: Starting a Family

My greatest adventure, without a doubt in my mind has to be starting a family. I've traveled to the moon, and became a war hero, but nothing is a fulfilling as starting a family of your own. While I sit here writing this blog, my two boys are in school. Everyone lives' chaotic lives, including myself, luckily, all four of us make such to have Lunch together on the weekends. Sometimes we spend time on the beach, when we have time to spare. We're always sunburnt after these days, but it's always worth it.

They both still live with us, but eventually they both plan on moving out. Hopefully we can still go out for our weekly Lunch.

It's also important to remember the future belongs to those who show up, and our offspring is ultimately responsible for continuing our greatness as humans.

Pictures of Mars

As interesting as it might seem, the main reason Spencer invited me down here is to look at pictures of Mars, with him. Apparently he has ...
